The artists
Pottery - Russell Turnage
Mr. Turnage began his career 40 years ago and has spent the last ten focusing on a body of work inspired by the marine environment in and around the York River, where he lives. A mixture of vases, urns, bowls, and lamps are as many sculptures in their own right, as they are functional pieces.
Jewellery - Dia Lawless
Using all-natural materials Dia Lawless creates jewelry in a
variety of styles and textures. Her designs are influenced by early Native
Americans, and, African and Egyptian artisans.
Photography - Peter Cross
An award-winning photographer, and picture editor, Peter’s work has appeared in LIFE magazine, National Geographic Travel, The New York Times, and The Miami Herald. He has also served as the Photography Director of The Palm Beach Post, where his talented staff earned national distinction as three-time finalists for the Pulitzer Prize.
Paintings - Hal Tench
Gallery owner, instructor, and studio artist, Hal Tench displays a variety of
paintings in oils, acrylic, mixed media, and watercolor.
The Space
The Deltaville Dairy Bar opened in1972 and was
celebrated as a local landmark for decades.
Even today, there are people with fond memories
of the good food and fun times it provided.
No stranger to change, she has gone from dairy bar to burger joint, pool hall to wood working shop, storage unit to abandoned hulk. Renovated now, with love and respect, she starts a new chapter as an art gallery, studio, and event venue.
Wish her luck.
